Peter and Janell Marules' Great Culinary Journey was sparked by their passion, love and admiration for each other and their families' roots. They found themselves infatuated with the moments spent across the table with friends and family and discovered, quite beautifully, that the love they desired to create already existed in that time spent with those closest to them. Thus, they created a "Home" that can be taken anywhere in the world.
Agape, the Greek word meaning "the highest and purist form of love," was the perfect word to carry the love they desired to be shared. Born from Napa Valley's most coveted grapes, Agape is a dark rich and silky wine ideal for sharing with friends and family.
After two years in the making, Peter and Janell Marules are excited to announce the release of their first vintage of Agape, a smooth, silky and yet bold, Napa Valley Cabernet.
After collaborating with the wine maker, discussing the characteristic of their favorite wines, as well as sampling many different recipes, they decided on a wine that they fell in love with and one worthy to be called Agape. Our Agape wine is made up of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc and 2% Malbec.
The grapes were harvested in the evening of October 2021 ensuring the juiciest grapes. It matured for two years, 50% of the time in New French Oak barrels and 50% in one year used French Oak barrels. Creating a wonderfully distinct flavor. It was bottled in August of 2023 with a 25-year cork and was released for sale in April of 2024.
