Our story
JMP Wines is an independent wine-distribution company serving restaurants and hospitality businesses across the Houston area.
Founded by Peter and Janell Marules, JMP Wines grew from a shared passion for exceptional wine, strong producer relationships, hospitality, and personal service. Its focused portfolio includes wines from Greece, Napa Valley, and other respected wine regions — helping hospitality partners discover bottles suited to their menus, guests, and business goals.
JMP Wines is also home to Agape, a signature wine inspired by unconditional love, generosity, and meaningful connection. Those values, together with the Greek tradition of Philoxenia — the art of turning strangers into friends — shape how the company approaches every restaurant and producer relationship.

His experience building Lakonia Imports and the Truly Greek family of brands helped shape a business philosophy centred on authenticity, personal service, and meaningful relationships.
Through JMP Wines, Peter is focused on helping restaurant and hospitality partners discover distinctive wines while receiving the direct communication and support of a locally operated distributor.
Janell Marules
Founder
Janell shares the vision behind JMP Wines and its commitment to hospitality, connection, and thoughtful customer relationships.
Together with Peter, she helped shape a company inspired by wine, shared experiences, and the belief that strong business relationships begin with genuine care and personal attention.
